In the Orabrush vs toothbrush fight, Orabrush wins by a long shot and I will explain you why below. It’s unbelievable how many people use their toothbrush to clean the tongue. This habit is extremely unsanitary as you are only doing more harm.

The toothbrush will only make bacteria to grow back faster because it will remove only a small part of the bacteria. By constantly rubbing your tongue with the toothbrush you will stimulate them to develop. Also, the toothbrush will dislocate some bacteria but it’s unable to clean it so basically you will still have it on your tongue.

Think at this: you clean your teeth and then you brush your mouth, right? But what do you do after this because no matter how water you use to wash it, the toothbrush will still contain harmful bacteria and when you will brush next time you will spread it into your mouth. Your gums and even teeth will be affected by this bad habit.

Orabrush is completely different as it works as a brush and scraper. The brush has soft plastic bristles which aren’t as thick as the ones on a regular toothbrush and can be easily cleaned. The tongue scraper works like a regular scraper but the small size allows you to easily clean even the back of the tongue.
These two have their own purposes and combat bacteria on two levels. Because the tongue is not an even it’s normal that the regular toothbrush can’t clean it properly because the bristles are flat and can’t go deeper. Imagine that the bacteria on your tongue is not a single coat, it consists of many layers so to speak and because the brush has the long bristles it can clean the lower coats, the one that will produce more bacteria if they aren’t removed. The tongue scraper cleans all the stuff from your tongue taking it out.

With the toothbrush you do only one thing: you detach only some bacteria and you leave it there.

There’s another catch to this: Orabrush is way wider than a regular toothbrush so it cleans more with less moves.

You don’t need toothpaste or something else. Just keep Orabrush under running water for a couple of seconds and start rubbing your tongue. If this is the first time you do it, you might be careful with your gag reflex because you might end up regretting it. There’s no need to rub too hard as the bristles will do the job. When you see that the white substance, meaning the bacteria disappeared, you can stop and wash your Orabrush with plain water. If you want to, you might use sanitizer or some mouth wash to clean it.

There’s no need to use way too much pressure while cleaning your tongue because Orabrush was designed to clean wit soft, regular moves. If you notice that your tongue is red or if it hurts you, stop using Orabrush for a while and after the tongue is back to normal, start using it again, this time the right way. In case the redness appears you should stop using it because this is a clear sign that Orabrush is not for you. Your tongue is way too sensitive to be exposed to it.

In case you are saying to yourself that you’re fine, your breath doesn’t smell, just look at the video posted on the Orabrush website, do the test and you will see if your breath smells or not.

In the confrontation Orabrush vs toothbrush we have a clear winner, Orabrush. It cleans the tongue, it keeps your breath fresh and it’s very easy to clean. These advantages clearly outrank the regular, unhygienic toothbrush.
